NetEnt Mobile Live Roulette gets major usability improvements
Software developer NetEnt has made significant improvements to live dealer roulette on mobile.
Swedish gambling software developer NetEnt has revamped their mobile live roulette interface. The changes bring significant quality of life improvements for portrait mode players. There are also some notable additions for landscape mode.
Andres Rengifo, Director of NetEnt Live commented on the upgrade:
With our new Roulette mobile interface, we have once again raised the bar, developing a product that is primed to capitalise on the rapid shift to mobile.
Launched in early January, the changes include optimisations for various screen sizes. For full details on the changes and new features, continue reading.
NetEnt Roulette Touch Changes
The new user interface update has primarily made tweaks for portrait play, with some extras for landscape players. Here are the changes:
- In portrait view, you can now see the last 18 results at the top of the game window
- You can now access favourite bets with a single click
- Racetrack only betting now available for simple betting on large number clusters
- Larger video display to see dealer and game wheel
- Dynamic camera view on portrait: Betting table shrinks and fades out to bring better attention to dealer and wheel
- In landscape mode, you can now see the 34 most recent number
- Portrait dynamic camera view is also included for landscape players.
NetEnt Live Mobile Roulette Review
Design: 4/5
Features: 5/5
Ease of use: 4/5
We are going to break down our thoughts on each of the new features.
Dynamic Camera View
NetEnt's quest for usability has resulted in quite a drastic overhaul of the mobile interface. The dynamic camera view - which is one of the larger changes - will take some time getting used to.
Blending the video feed and the betting table is an interesting concept. But at first, it can feel distracting; as you plan your next bet, you can see motion happening in the background.
But it's fine once the game round begins and the betting table shrinks down. We also have to applaud the larger video display, which brings more emphasis to what is happening.
In our experience, the streaming was smooth and fluid on a wi-fi internet connection.
Quick Strategies & Results
One of the best changes is the quick access to betting strategies, and how easy it is to customise them. Another positive change is the generous display of previous game results.
These numbers are just here for show, but it is nice to see the random nature of NetEnt's mobile roulette in progress.
Racetrack mode
For racetrack only bettors, you are going to appreciate the new switch to racetrack mode. With a button press, you can exclusively bet in this way.
NetEnt Touch Roulette is a touch of class
NetEnt has made some fantastic changes to the mobile live roulette app. It takes some getting used to - especially the dynamic camera view. But once you have experienced it for multiple games, it becomes a superb addition.
