Big Multipliers, Modified Payouts: Inside Pragmatic Play’s Live Roulettes

Pragmatic Play has put a very different spin on the traditional roulette formula. Its multiplier range now includes three tables, with maximum wins stretching from 500x on Mega Roulette to a huge 10,000x on Gates of Olympus Roulette, although the bigger multipliers come with some changes to the standard straight-up payout.

If you like betting individual numbers, those differences are worth knowing before you choose your table.

Three Roulette Games, Three Different Approaches

Pragmatic Play's multiplier roulette lineup began with Mega Roulette in 2021, followed by Mega Roulette 3000 in 2025 and Gates of Olympus Roulette in April 2026.

All three use a single-zero European roulette wheel, so the basic game will feel familiar if you're used to playing standard European roulette.

The interesting part comes when you bet straight up.

Each game introduces special numbers that can trigger enhanced multipliers, but the regular payout for landing on your chosen number is lower than the traditional 35:1. The reduction becomes more noticeable as the potential multiplier increases.

If you mainly play red, black, odd, even or dozens, however, there's less to separate the three. Outside bets use standard European roulette payouts across the range.

Mega Roulette: The More Traditional Option

Mega Roulette is where the multiplier range began, and its 500x maximum is considerably lower than those offered by the two newer games.

Each spin can feature between one and five Mega Lucky Numbers, with multipliers ranging from 50x to 500x.

The trade-off is relatively modest compared with the other tables. A regular straight-up win pays 29:1, compared with the standard 35:1 you'd expect from European roulette.

So, while you're not getting the same huge multiplier potential as the newer games, you retain more of the traditional straight-up payout when your number lands without a multiplier.

Mega Roulette 3000: Bigger Multipliers, Smaller Straight-Up Wins

Mega Roulette 3000 takes the same basic idea and turns the dial up considerably.

You can get up to eight Mega Lucky Numbers per round, with multipliers ranging from 50x all the way to 3,000x.

The catch is immediately noticeable if you're playing straight up. A normal win pays just 19:1.

That's quite a drop from the usual 35:1 roulette payout, but it's also where the game's appeal lies. More of the potential return has been shifted towards the multiplier features rather than the standard number payout.

The stated straight-up RTP remains 97.50%, according to Pragmatic Play's rules.

Gates of Olympus Roulette: Roulette Meets a Slot

Gates of Olympus Roulette takes the multiplier concept a step further by bringing some of the mechanics from the popular Gates of Olympus slot onto the roulette wheel.

There can be up to seven Lucky Numbers per round, with multipliers starting at 50x and reaching 250x. A Super Booster can then increase these multipliers to as much as 2,500x.

But the headline feature is the Bonus Number.

A straight-up bet on the Bonus Number can trigger a 15-spin Gates of Olympus bonus round, where the potential win reaches an eye-catching 10,000x.

There's an important detail here: you need to place a straight-up bet on the Bonus Number to trigger the feature. A split bet covering that number won't qualify.

The regular straight-up payout is 20:1, while the straight-up RTP is listed at 97.30%. At the maximum stake, this can fall to 96.62% when big wins reach the game's payout cap.

Why Are the Straight-Up Payouts Lower?

This is probably the biggest thing to understand if you're moving from traditional roulette to one of Pragmatic Play's multiplier tables.

A standard European roulette straight-up win pays 35:1. Including your original stake, that means a winning unit returns 36 units.

With Pragmatic Play's games, some of that traditional payout has effectively been moved towards the multiplier features.

Mega Roulette pays 29:1 on a plain straight-up win, while Mega Roulette 3000 and Gates of Olympus Roulette pay 19:1 and 20:1 respectively.

That doesn't change the standard payouts for outside bets, which is why the distinction is mainly relevant if straight-up numbers are part of your usual roulette strategy.

In simple terms, you're giving up some of the regular straight-up payout for the chance of landing one of the game's much larger multiplier prizes.

Which Multiplier Roulette Suits You?

There's no single answer here, as the three tables offer noticeably different experiences.

Mega Roulette keeps things closer to conventional roulette, with the highest plain straight-up payout of the three and multipliers reaching 500x.

Mega Roulette 3000 is more focused on the big multiplier chase, taking the ceiling to 3,000x while reducing the ordinary straight-up payout to 19:1.

Gates of Olympus Roulette is the most distinctive of the three, combining multiplier roulette with a slot-style bonus round and a potential 10,000x win.

If you mainly stick to outside bets, the choice is less significant from a payout perspective. All three use standard European payouts for those wagers, so you can focus more on the table design and features you prefer.

Find the Best Roulette Sites for Pragmatic Play Games

Pragmatic Play's multiplier roulette games offer something a little different from the usual roulette experience, particularly if you enjoy playing straight-up numbers and want the chance of a much larger multiplier.

The important thing is to understand what you're giving up in return for that extra potential. The 500x, 3,000x and 10,000x ceilings might grab your attention, but the standard straight-up payouts are just as important when comparing the games.
