Quantum Roulette Live - October 2026
If you enjoy roulette but like the idea of chasing a little extra on your favourite numbers, Quantum Roulette Live puts a different spin on the classic game. Playtech's live table adds multipliers of up to 500x to selected numbers, with two extra mechanics — Quantum Boost and Quantum Leap — capable of pushing those values higher during a round.

There's a trade-off, though. A standard straight-up pays 29:1 instead of the usual 35:1, with the difference helping to fund the multiplier feature. So, is Quantum Roulette Live worth trying? We've looked at the maths, the features and how the game actually plays to find out.
What is Quantum Roulette Live?
Quantum Roulette Live is Playtech's multiplier roulette game, launched across its network in September 2019. It uses a European single-zero wheel with 37 pockets, while between one and five numbers are selected as Quantum Numbers each round.
Each Quantum Number receives a multiplier between 50x and 500x. Quantum Boost can add another 50x, while Quantum Leap can double or triple a multiplier before the ball lands.
The game uses an automated Cammargh slingshot wheel rather than a traditional dealer spin. The presenter hosts the action, but doesn't physically spin the wheel or release the ball.
It's a fairly straightforward concept once you get going: choose your numbers, wait for the multipliers to appear, and hope your straight-up bet lands on one of the featured numbers.

How to Play Quantum Roulette Live
Playing Quantum Roulette Live is easy if you're already familiar with European roulette.
Choose your stake and place your bets using the main grid or racetrack. You can cover as many numbers as you like, but remember that only straight-up bets are eligible for the multipliers.
Once betting closes, the Quantum Numbers appear, with each selected number receiving a multiplier between 50x and 500x.
You may then see Quantum Boost or Quantum Leap activate before the wheel settles. Boost adds 50x to a multiplier, while Leap can double or triple one.
The automated wheel then spins. If your straight-up lands on a Quantum Number, the multiplier replaces the standard 29:1 payout.
For example, a €1 straight-up carrying a 200x multiplier pays €200. You don't receive the 200x payout plus the normal 29:1 — the multiplier is the payout.
There's one important catch: 500x is always the ceiling. So if Quantum Leap triples a 250x number, the theoretical result would be 750x, but the game caps it at 500x.

Quantum Roulette Live RTP and House Edge
Playtech gives Quantum Roulette Live a 97.30% theoretical RTP, giving the game a 2.70% house edge. That's the same headline return as a standard European single-zero roulette wheel.
Playtech doesn't publish a separate RTP specifically for straight-up bets, even though they're the only bets that can benefit from the multiplier mechanics.
For comparison, European roulette has a 97.30% RTP, American roulette drops to 94.74%, while French roulette with La Partage can reach 98.65% on even-money bets.
The interesting part here is how the lower straight-up payout helps fund the multipliers.
Why Do Straight-Ups Pay 29:1?
A standard European roulette straight-up pays 35:1. Quantum Roulette Live reduces this to 29:1 when no multiplier is attached.
That six-unit difference helps fund the game's multiplier pool.
| Bet | Standard European Roulette | Quantum Roulette Live | Multiplier Eligible? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Straight-up | 35:01:00 | 29:01:00 | Yes |
| Split | 17:01 | 17:01 | No |
| Street | 11:01 | 11:01 | No |
| Corner | 08:01 | 08:01 | No |
| Six Line | 05:01 | 05:01 | No |
| Red/Black | 01:01 | 01:01 | No |
| Odd/Even | 01:01 | 01:01 | No |
| Dozen/Column | 02:01 | 02:01 | No |
So, if you put €1 on a number and it wins without a multiplier, you'll receive €29 in winnings rather than the €35 you'd get on a standard European wheel.
In return, your straight-up can land on a 50x, 100x, 200x or even 500x multiplier.
That's a fairly modest reduction compared with some of the more aggressive multiplier roulette games. For example, Pragmatic Play's Mega Roulette also uses a 29:1 base payout, while XXXtreme Lightning Roulette drops the standard straight-up payout to 19:1.
Quantum Roulette Multiplier Odds
One of the most useful things about Quantum Roulette Live is that Playtech actually publishes the probability of each multiplier value.
That's something you don't get with most competing multiplier roulette games.
| Multiplier | Probability |
|---|---|
| 50x | 32.00% |
| 100x | 32.90% |
| 150x | 14.80% |
| 200x | 10.50% |
| 250x | 3.10% |
| 300x | 3.00% |
| 400x | 2.20% |
| 500x | 1.50% |
| Quantum Boost | 12% |
| Quantum Leap | 1.80% |
This gives you a much better idea of what to expect.
Almost two-thirds of the published multiplier results are 50x or 100x, while a 500x multiplier appears only 1.5% of the time. The average multiplier works out at roughly 125x.
Playtech doesn't publish how often the number you're backing actually receives a multiplier. Based on the published RTP, base payout and multiplier probabilities, we've estimated that a winning straight-up carries a multiplier around 6% of the time. That would equate to roughly two or three multiplied numbers per round rather than five.
That's our calculation, not a figure published by Playtech, so it's best treated as an estimate.
Is Quantum Roulette Live Fair?
The wheel used in Quantum Roulette Live is fully automated. The Cammargh slingshot wheel uses compressed air and motors, with lasers reading the result, while the presenter simply hosts the round.
The Quantum Numbers and their multipliers are generated by an RNG after betting closes. They don't determine where the ball lands and aren't influenced by where you've placed your chips.
Every number on the European wheel still has the same 1-in-37 chance of being selected.
The 29:1 straight-up payout can look unusual if you're comparing the game with traditional European roulette, but it's clearly shown in the game's payout table. The lower base payout is part of the design that funds the multiplier features.
Quantum Roulette Live Rules
The main rules are straightforward:
- European single-zero wheel with 37 pockets
- Straight-ups pay 29:1 without a multiplier
- Straight-ups can pay between 49:1 and 499:1 with a multiplier
- All other bets use standard European roulette payouts
- Only straight-up bets qualify for multipliers
- Between one and five Quantum Numbers are selected per round
- Quantum Numbers receive multipliers from 50x to 500x
- Quantum Boost adds 50x to a multiplier
- Quantum Leap doubles or triples a multiplier
- All multipliers are capped at 500x
- Multipliers are generated after betting closes
- The minimum chip is €0.20
- Maximum limits vary between operators
- The maximum win is €500,000, subject to the operator's own limit
- The wheel is fully automated and isn't physically spun by the presenter
- Playing Quantum Roulette Live on Mobile
Quantum Roulette Live works well on mobile, with both portrait and landscape layouts available.
The portrait view places the live stream above the betting grid and keeps the recent results visible. The racetrack is also available, although it can feel a little cramped on a smaller screen.
The main limitation is placing several straight-up bets quickly. There's no one-tap option for covering a group of numbers, so if you want to back eight numbers at €0.20 each, you'll need to make eight individual selections during the betting window.
If you're playing on your phone, it makes sense to have your preferred numbers in mind before betting opens.

Quantum Roulette Live Strategy
There's no roulette strategy that changes the house edge, but you can still make decisions about how you want to approach the game.
Focus on straight-ups if you want the multiplier features. Outside bets and other inside bets pay their normal European roulette odds and aren't eligible for Quantum multipliers.
Consider spreading your stake. If your aim is to give yourself more opportunities to hit a multiplied number, covering several straight-ups gives you more numbers in play. Just remember that you're increasing your total stake at the same time.
Keep the published odds in mind. Most multipliers are 50x or 100x. A 50x hit on a €0.20 chip pays €10, while the 500x headline multiplier is considerably less common.
Don't overvalue Quantum Leap. It sounds impressive because it can double or triple a multiplier, but it occurs on around 1.8% of multipliers and remains subject to the 500x ceiling.
Quantum Roulette Live Betting Interface
The interface has all the main tools you'd expect from a modern live roulette table.
| Feature | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Main betting grid | Place standard roulette bets |
| Racetrack | Neighbour and call bets |
| Quantum panel | Displays the current multipliers |
| Multiplier odds | Shows the probability of each multiplier |
| Recent numbers | Tracks recent results |
| Statistics | Displays recent distribution data |
| Favourite bets | Saves and reapplies your preferred selections |
| Live chat | Chat with the presenter |
| Multi-camera views | Lets you change the studio and wheel view |
The standout feature is the in-game multiplier odds screen. Being able to see the published probability of each multiplier gives you more information than you'll usually get with this type of roulette.
The main omission is a one-tap way to cover several straight-up numbers. Since straight-ups are the only bets that benefit from the game's main feature, that would be a useful addition.
Autoplay is also not documented by Playtech, so its availability depends on the operator.
Quantum Roulette Live Bonuses
Any welcome bonus available with Quantum Roulette Live depends on the casino you're playing at. Some operators offer deposit matches or enhanced promotions with a promo code, while Playtech also runs live casino tournaments and prize drops across participating brands.
Before you claim a bonus, check the casino's contribution terms. Live roulette is often excluded from wagering requirements or contributes at 10% or less, so you shouldn't assume that playing Quantum Roulette Live will help you clear a casino bonus.
Where is Quantum Roulette Live Available?
Availability depends on the operator and its licence, with Quantum Roulette Live rolled out across different markets since its 2019 launch.
Playtech has offered dedicated and localised versions in several markets, so the language, limits and exact table available to you can vary.
If Quantum Roulette Live isn't available at your chosen casino, you may find Playtech's RNG Quantum Roulette or a standard European roulette table instead.

Quantum Roulette Live Alternatives
Below, we bring you some great alternatives to Quantum Roulette Live...
Mega Roulette
Pragmatic Play's Mega Roulette also uses a 29:1 base straight-up payout and a 500x maximum multiplier. It publishes a 97.50% straight-up RTP and offers one-tap Mega Bets, making it an interesting alternative if you want a little more convenience.
XXXtreme Lightning Roulette
Evolution's XXXtreme Lightning Roulette takes the multiplier concept further, with a maximum multiplier of 2,000x. The trade-off is a lower 19:1 standard straight-up payout and a 97.12% straight-up RTP.
x1000 Quantum Roulette
If 500x doesn't feel like enough, Playtech's x1000 Quantum Roulette increases the ceiling to 1,000x. However, it uses a double-zero American wheel, so the standard roulette bets have a lower 94.74% return.
Our Quantum Roulette Live Verdict
Game design. Quantum Roulette keeps things relatively focused, with the multiplier mechanic doing most of the talking. The automated slingshot wheel gives it a different feel from traditional live dealer roulette, while the high-contrast studio works nicely on mobile.
Betting interface. Everything you need is here, including saved bets, statistics and the excellent multiplier odds screen. A one-tap option for covering several straight-ups would make it even better.
Gameplay. The automated wheel is quick and consistent, while Quantum Boost and Quantum Leap give each round another potential twist. If you prefer a traditional dealer spin, though, the lack of human interaction may take away some of the appeal.
Payouts. The 29:1 base payout is a reasonable compromise for a multiplier game, and it's less punishing than some competitors. The 500x ceiling is the biggest weakness, particularly because Quantum Leap can push a multiplier beyond that figure before the cap brings it back down.
Settings. You get chat, statistics, saved bets, multiple camera views and the multiplier odds screen. Playtech doesn't document autoplay, so you'll need to check your chosen operator.
Quantum Roulette Live is a good choice if you want to see the multiplier maths before you play and prefer an automated wheel. The published odds are a genuine advantage, although the 500x ceiling means Quantum Leap isn't quite as exciting as it sounds.
